SAME Greater Kansas City Post Supports Warriors’ Ascent

Yaeger Architecture Project Manager and President of SAME GKC Post, Christina Przygoda, presented a $2500 Post donation to Warriors’ Ascent and Executive Director Mike Kenny on May 20th. Christina and Mike Kenny both donned Team Leadville official racing gear for the check presentation. Team Leadville, coached and led by COL (R) Tony Hofmann, is a group of veterans and Great Americans who’ve volunteered to run the Leadville Trail Marathon to bring awareness and funding support to Warriors’ Ascent and their mission: “TO SAVE LIVES by teaching Veterans and First Responders with PTS the skills to heal from the trauma they’ve endured in service to the nation.” COVID 19 canceled this year’s race, however, 13 runners in three time zones in four states will still be racing for the cause this June 13th.

Warriors’ Ascent is founded and led by Warriors who have experienced their own moral injuries and have dedicated themselves to creating a path of healing for our nation’s veterans and first responders. With this growing community of support, we can help Veterans and First Responders overcome the feelings of isolation, anger, and hopelessness through evidence-based healing practices.

The 2020 Campaign to STOP VETERAN SUICIDE is open until June 20th.
