Cherokee Terrace Historic Housing

Enid, OK

Yaeger Architecture, Inc. provided architectural and interior design services for this eight-building, 80 apartment unit, historic apartment complex.  The complex includes a property management office, a basement central boiler plant and maintenance room, and a basement laundry room.  The buildings were built over the period 1936-1938 under the auspices of the Works Progress Administration (WPA).  Prior to design, the Yaeger team conducted a Capital Needs Assessment that included building systems, a code, life safety and ADA compliance analysis along with the creation of existing building drawings reflective of its current configuration.

$5.2 Million

All improvements were specified in a manner that met or exceeded all applicable HUD and Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) construction and architectural requirements and all applicable building codes.

The project team was recognized by Oklahoma Historical Society for Stewardship of the State’s Heritage.
