Yaeger is Awarded Contract with Seattle District USACE

Yaeger Architecture is excited to announce that we have been awarded a 5-year Architect-Engineer Design and Construction Support Services contract with the Seattle District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers!

Yaeger is currently working on the full building revitalization of Building 5190 (Greenwood Elementary) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) for the Seattle District (diagram below).  5190 is being converted to a General Instruction Building to provide administrative and instructional space for the base.  The space will be shared between JBLM’s Department of Public Works Environmental Division (DPW-ED) and JBLM’s Comprehensive Soldier and Family Fitness Training Center (CSF2).

The Yaeger team frequently executes concurrent DoD projects between $10-40 million dollars in construction value located in dispersed geographic locations. Even with all this concurrent activity, Yaeger Architecture has never received an overall ACASS rating below Satisfactory. We believe this fact is a radiant example of the quality of the partnerships we create, along with our ability to exceed client expectations while delivering quality services on-schedule and within budget.

Yaeger credits this performance to our long-standing history with design and construction supporting mission essential facilities. This experience affords us sensitivity and familiarity with the importance of project schedules, responsiveness, and the operational needs of stakeholders during project lifecycles. We understand that it is necessary for our response times to be measured in hours, not days, to keep construction activities fluid and productive during the fixed windows of time available.

“The schedule for the preparation was condensed and did not allow for any float. Yaeger was successful at meeting all targeted milestones and providing a quality product. Yaeger was also actively involved in the bidder inquiry process and helped to provide clarity to contractors and reduced risk. USACE appreciates the extra effort that Yaeger put forth to make revisions when prompted and in a timely manner.” – Kimberly Blood, USACE District, Kansas City; Fort Leavenworth, KS
